Here is a lesson that I used as an introduction for Microsoft Excel. Follow the directions to learn about excel and answer the following questions. 1. Use the internet to answer these questions 2. Answer these questions as you learn about excel. a. What is a spreadsheet?
b. What goes in the Formula Bar?
c. What is a Workbook?
d. What is a Worksheet?
e. What is a Sheet tab?
f. What is a Cell?
g. What is the default workbook named?
h. What is a column, a row, and a heading?
i. What is an active cell?
j. What 3 things does a triangle in a cell mean?
k. What is the formula bar used for?
l. What is the Task pane? How is it used?
m. What are some different tasks you can put in the Task pane? (name 3) n. What is a Smart Tag?
o. Name 4 Buttons and there functions?
p. Explain the different pointer shapes and what they are used for. q. What is a Range?
r. How do you rearrange the order of columns?
s. How do you select different worksheets?
t. What does the page break preview do? How does it help you? u. What does “Auto Sum”, “Sort”, “Chart Wizard”, and “Format Numbers” mean? v. What does currency format do?
w. What does absolute reference mean?
x. What does auto calculate do?
y. What does sort ascending do?
